About

The ScoliCare Clinics in Sydney are private clinic dedicated to the non-surgical treatment of scoliosis.
We manage and co-manage scoliosis cases with health professionals in all fields.

Our goal is to provide the right treatment at the right time.

Our clinicians have studied scoliosis treatments from around the world so they can deliver the most up-to-date advice, information, and treatment options to patients.

We provide a team approach to each case and work with our patients’ doctors, surgeons, and therapists to help get the best results.

The main treatment options recommended and used at the Sydney Scoliosis Clinic are:

  • Scoliosis specific exercise and rehabilitation
  • Scoliosis bracing

The team is led by international lecturer and researcher, Dr. Jeb McAviney (Chiropractor) who holds Masters degrees in Pain Medicine and in Chiropractic. Dr. McAviney is also an international instructor in scoliosis bracing and therapy and has taught doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and orthotists throughout the world.

Dr McAviney is joined by a multidisciplinary team in Sydney – Dr Juan Du Plessis (Chiropractor, Scoliosis Bracing & Rehabilitation Clinician), Daniel Firth (Orthotist, Scoliosis Bracing & Rehabilitation Clinician) and Exercise Physiologists led by Rebecca Phillips.

The ScoliCare Clinics in Sydney are open to interstate and international patients, who can access our X-ray review service over email prior to making an appointment.

The clinics are purpose-built scoliosis rehabilitation and bracing centres, centrally located in the medical district of Kogarah, close to Sydney airport and public transport as well as in Wahroonga in Sydney’s north. Nearby facilities include low-dose digital X-ray and MRI so that diagnosis, assessment, and treatment, can be carried out in the one location.
